As of June 2001, McLibel has been screened in 23 countries: Canada, England , Israel, Usa, Netherlands, Australia, India, Brazil, France, China, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland, Scotland, Hungary, New Zealand, Turkey, Northern Ireland, Peru, Wales, Denmark, Belgium and Croatia.
We're attempting to keep a record of all the screenings, so please send us details of any we've missed out. If you'd like to organise a screening, please get in touch and we can help out with tapes, posters, press releases and so on. dissent?

Does the networked society shift the distribution of power and open up new
spaces for public protest? Yes, according to a new breed of political
activists who use electronic networks to organise dissent. As politicians
turn policy making over to market researchers and the mass media is
integrated into the marketing operations of global corporations, citizens
need new strategies to make their pressure felt. A debate on political
change in the information age. the forum will be broadcast on ABC Radio
National as a Sunday special in October.
Crash the System will be a public forum moderated by Michael Dwyer. The
session will be held in association with the National Young Writers'
Festival and the Electrofringe electronic media festival in Newcastle, NSW.
The forum will be recorded in front of live audience, and broadcast on ABC
Radio National as a Sunday Special in October. Over the next few months
there will be opportunities to contribute to the discussion via this web
site.
